Welcome to the Outback Regional Gallery in Winton, the heart of Western Queensland.

This, the first purpose-built Art Gallery west of the Great Divide, opened in 1998, with Images of Australia, a million-dollar exhibition of paintings from the Queensland Art Gallery, including works by Streeton, McCubbin, Roberts, Drysdale, Olsen, Nolan and Molvig.

The Gallery program includes work by local and regional artists, as well as nationally touring exhibitions.

The John Villiers Waltzing Matilda Outback Art Show 2013 is now on display at the Outback Regional Gallery.

The John Villiers Waltzing Matilda Outback Art Show is a cultural initiative of the Winton Shire Council to celebrate the heritage of the outback through art. An annual exhibition, the theme this year is Outback Legends, Outback Landscape.
